Karen Segura

Karen Segura is currently in her 32nd year as a dance teacher and choreographer and is a 1979 graduate of Gerami Academy. She is a certified member of Dance Masters of America and the Louisiana Association of Dance Masters for 22 years. She is a founding member of Jazz Extensions Dance Company and has performed and choreographed routines for numerous Carnival Balls and Industrial shows for the Company.

Karen is a former member of the University of Southwest Louisiana's (USL) Sweethearts Dance Team, which is currently called the Ragin' Jazz at ULL. She has studied with dance greats, Gus Giordano, Luigi, Joe Tremaine, Lea Darwin, Beverly Fletcher, and Frank Hatchett. Karen is married to Kevin Segura and is the mother of 5 children: Blake, Gracey, Michele, Kalli Rose, and Jace. She thanks God for the gift of dance!
